'Words Are Not What Make You See'

-Patrick White

Our Idea

For our interactive project I came up with the idea of  having a vast amount of Donald Trump faces for people to graffiti as Trump's weapon is his words which have very little truth in them, much like what Patrick White describes. So to counteract his words we thought we would fight against it with drawing as we were going to get as many CSM students as possible to express their feelings on Trump through doodleling on his face.

I really want to incorporate into our final film perhaps snippets of his speech in the background to juxtapose the comical images of his face completely defaced and drawn over to show the ridiculousness of his words, I'm considering either audio from his campaign ad or the 'official Donald Trump Jam.'

Video showing every insane thing he has ever said

It appears that I'm not the only one to think to counteract Trumps words with humour as many artist have used the comical the emphasise the ridiculousness which is Donald Trump.

Displaying Our Piece

When displaying our Trump faces we wanted to incorporate elements of Trump's campaign image so as to draw in the viewer into thinking from a distance it might be a Trump campaign and enticing them to come closer then completely counteracting their initial thoughts and therefore make them consider what we are trying to convey. To establish this it meant I had to study Trump's campaign and the colour scheme and slogans he uses.

A recurring theme of the duality of navy and red with very bold letters, when I make our sign I think I am going to incorporate his classic white capital letters on a navy background and perhaps make a play no his 'make America great again' slogan.
