Sonya Dyakova
Dyakova uses such precision with her artwork that the accuracy is impeccable, like nothing I've ever seen before. As I really struggle with using a scalpel I can only admire her skill as her alphabet is extraordinary.
Roman Signer
Signer work fascinated me most out of the choice of artists in the bibliography purely because of his use of medium, film and photography, which I adore and in which Signer experiments within in such a playful, imaginative way. He takes every day object such as boots, umbrellas, books etc. but creates explosions and collisions on film; the duality of the ordinary and the explosive nature is fascinating to watch as it is a, 'controlled destruction,' as Singer perfectly explains it.
Danny Treacy
Danny Treacy's work is one of the most fascinating, unusual things I have ever seen as he creates these suits out of used clothing and found objects, always keeping his face covered not only to give the viewer a unsettling feeling but to harness in on this uncertainty, by covering his face he removed our human nature in identifying others, we cannot tell the gender, age or expression of this creature, by Treacy leaving the viewer to their imagination he creates a far more terrifying and unique experience as we have to imagine the story and intention of this being put before us.
Nick Morley
I've never really noticed how letters can be a art form before and how it would be possible to incorporate them into recognizable images such as people or houses but Morley ingeniously creates imaginative ways to makes these letters come to life as characters. Through his inspiration I aimed through my project to also adopt a characteristic way of creating my letters.
